The question has been asked, “How does a church welcome
someone as a member when they are members of another church they attend when
not in Florida?” Have you made a
provision that allows snowbirds to fully participate in the life of the church? If so, we’d like to hear what that provision
is, and make the responses available to all.
Please respond and view responses here.
Our church bylaws provide for an "Associate Membership" which specifically allows seasonal residents to be members of our church with all the privileges of regular membership with the exception of election to any office. This type of membership neither cancels their membership in, nor requires a letter of transfer from, the candidate's home church.
